Overview
As a Manufacturing Key Operative – Quality Controller you will make routine checks on products and packaging to ensure they meet food safety and legality requirements. You will use relevant systems to record information, demonstrate traceability, and demonstrate due diligence on behalf of the site and company, escalating any non‑conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.
Key Responsibilities
* Make routine checks on products and packaging.
* Record information using the relevant systems to demonstrate traceability and due diligence.
* Escalate non‑conformances to prevent product withdrawals or recalls.
* Perform quality checks such as temperature probing, swabbing, weight and size checks.
* Minimise and prevent any loss of sales or profit while ensuring customer requirements are continually met.
Required Skills & Experience
* Previous manufacturing and food handling experience preferred but not essential.
* Full training will be provided.
* Loves working as part of a team.
* Enjoys a fast‑paced environment.
* Is active and has a good level of fitness.
* Can work in temperatures around 8 °C and below (protective clothing is provided).
* Takes pride in completing tasks to the best of your ability.
Desirable Experience
* Quality control and understanding of product allergens.
* Food Safety Level 2 and/or HACCP Level 2.
Working Conditions
* Varying temperatures up to 8 °C and below.
* Protective clothing provided.
