Job title: Assistant Manufacturing Systems Engineer
Salary: Up to 34k per annum
What you’ll be doing:
Performing Operational Technology (OT) cyber assessments for a range of manufacturing equipment
Working with development teams & suppliers to ensure new manufacturing equipment complies with company cyber standards
Reporting of OT cyber status to IT management & Company working groups
Increasing awareness of cyber security considerations by briefing staff on OT security
Troubleshooting and resolve any OT issues that arise in the manufacturing environment, ensuring minimal disruption to production and engaging support services when required
Analysis of OT cyber assessments & implementing software updates and patches for manufacturing systems, ensuring they are up to date and functioning properly
Assisting in the implementation of new OT projects and initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity
Your skills and experiences:
An appreciation of cyber threats in the context of OT – how threats might impact OT equipment
Understanding of IT & OT security and methodologies, principles, technologies and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both manufacturing and OT/IT professionals
ISC2 certificate in cyber security
Experience in computers, networks, and programming skills
Desire to develop in a cyber security role

The Manufacturing Systems Team:
As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will be pivotal in linking Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Management Technology (IMT) and Operational Technology (OT). Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing you will drive a data driven culture and optimise the user experience across our applications to bring business benefits. With major IT programmes currently running to upgrade our PDM, MES & ERP systems, now is a great time to develop your career as a key member of the Rochester Manufacturing Systems Engineering team.
