Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Support Officer to join our Stroke Early Supported Discharge (ESD) team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual with good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and on your own initiative; you will provide vital administrative support for the clinicians within the specialist stroke ESD service. The role also supports the inpatient teams data collection and our community outreach service.

The ideal candidate will have previous secretarial / administration experience with a high level of computer literacy and will be able to deal effectively with prioritising workload. The post holders must be able to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Administrator support worker is to support the Stroke ESD therapy team by leading with clerical duties including national audit data collection, reporting on stroke KPIs.

This post supports the collection of in-patient rehab stroke KPIs data part of the national audit – SSNAP. They also support the collection and analysis of stroke pathway PROMs data.

To maintain an up to date database of service provision and outcomes. Use data to compile reports. Input data on to stroke national audit database.

To manage timely referrals and ensure allocation to clinical team.

Educated to Vocational Level 3 in a relevant subject or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience Good knowledge of MS Office Suite Awareness of policies and procedures relating to dealing with confidential data, both personal and organisational Thorough understanding of office procedures
