Based at Griffin Park Tactical Training Centre, Calder Bridge, Cumbria (hybrid)
Salary up to £35,174 per annum plus a generous benefits package
Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed individuals to our team.

We’re looking for a Contracts Officer to join our Organisational Support Services team to administer and maintain the data within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the department, including supplier and contract management information. You’ll provide the first line of defence against commercial fraud by devising and implementing detailed and forensic commercial processes, procedures and an audit process to ensure accuracy of data in the system. You’ll take control of the management of the CNC register of approved suppliers; and manage the ERP supplier portal and catalogue system to maximise benefits.

Confident with data analysis; part of your role will be collecting and analysing procurement and management data for wider purposes including investment decisions, compliance reporting and the collection of statutory and regulatory sustainability data.

To be successful in the role you’ll have experience of working with ERP systems, and the ability to provide assistance and advice in relation to system functions, and Microsoft Office packages. You’ll have working knowledge of counter-fraud processes, and monitoring and working to service level agreements. You’ll be exceptionally organised with great interpersonal and communication skills. If you don’t hold Professional qualifications, a willingness to acquire these would be desirable, as we are keen to support our staff to upskill.

3. Devise and implement thorough and forensic commercial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy of data in the system. This will include developing a process of audit and running the audit process.
4. Understand principles of commercial, property and financial management to ensure robust data integrity and business processes.
5. Manage CNC register of approved suppliers and derogation/direct awards.
6. Provide first line of defence against commercial fraud.
7. Maintain and audit commercial records on ERP system ensuring continued data integrity.
8. Manage the ERP Supplier portal to maximise benefit.
9. Manage the ERP catalogue system to maximise benefit.
10. Manage Oracle Service Requests (Commercial) in conjunction with internal / external stakeholders.
11. Maintain key commercial agreements on the ERP system.
12. Collate and analyse procurement and management data for wider organisational purposes including investment decisions, compliance reporting, resource planning and identifying commercial savings / efficiencies.
13. Collate statutory and regulatory sustainability data across entire CNC operation. Contribute to sustainability reporting.
14. Update and maintain the Procurement SharePoint pages, including FAQ’s, training materials, knowledge articles, processes, and procedures.
15. Ensure golden thread in all data to allow effective reporting against HMG Spending Controls, transparency reporting and category strategies.
16. Will be required to undertake additional tasks to ensure resilience of wider team efforts
