What skills and experience we're looking for
We’re seeking to appoint a Technology Technician to join our Design & Technology team, this will be an exciting and stimulating role where you will support with both preparation and during the delivery of lessons to students who are keen to learn and achieve. Technology is popular amongst students and enjoys high esteem within the school community.
We encourage the enjoyment of Technology through the study of a wide range of interesting and challenging projects. The use of key terminology and the application of different technological advances is something we see as key to student academic achievement. As a department, we recognise that applying real world scenarios to design problems is important. Students enjoy using the google classroom suite in lessons and for completing homework. It is important from a cultural capital perspective that we try and bring as much industrial knowledge into the classroom as possible to make links.
What the role involves
* Preparation of equipment and materials both for demonstration and class use
* Maintenance of workshops and classrooms to ensure a well-stocked, safe working environment
* Following health & safety procedures and applying these across the department
* Provide support to both the teacher and the students in lessons and any extra-curricular activities

Additional information
Salary: Band C (NJC points 4-6) Actual Salary: £21,203 - £21,880
Contract Terms: Permanent, Term time only
Hours: 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 15:30 and Friday 07:30 – 15:00
Closing Date: Monday 29 September 2025 at 9am
Start Date: 3 November 2025
