You will work with a variety of clients across the Financial Services sector, who are at the front line in developing cutting‑edge technology that helps the UK stay as a market leader by encouraging investment into research and development.
As well as working directly with existing clients, you will be offered the chance to support business development opportunities and cross‑sector claims.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Work as an effective member of a project team, exhibiting strong communication skills and collaborating with team members of different skill sets.
* Write compelling technical project reports that highlight the key technical factors of client projects to support R&D tax claims.
* Interact with clients' senior technical and software staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of the projects undertaken and identify how aspects of projects meet the R&D Guidelines.
* Apply advanced problem‑solving skills and critical thinking to project execution and delivery.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients to provide high levels of client service.
* Support client meetings and deliver high‑quality advice to major clients, ensuring effective risk and reputation management.
* Adapt and flex existing knowledge to different sectors and build on core capabilities.
Skills and Attributes for Success
* Strong interest in software technologies and programming languages.
* University‑based experience working on software projects and dealing with technology limitations.
* Ability to quickly understand new software technologies and concepts (e.g., platforms, APIs, frameworks) and discuss them in depth.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to produce concise summaries of information.
* Strong attention to detail and first‑time accuracy.
* Interest in project and company finances and the application of tax treatment.
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or related field.
* Industry experience in software development, ideally at graduate level or beyond.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative management approach.
