The Role
We are looking for a reliable and self-motivated Night Transport Operations Co-Ordinator to manage the overnight transport operation in the absence of on-site supervision. The successful candidate will oversee the smooth running of the night shift, ensure full coverage of all transport jobs, maintain system accuracy, and prepare a clear and detailed handover for the day shift team.

Manage and oversee the transport operation throughout the night.
Dispatch drivers at the start of their shift with the appropriate vehicles and workloads.
Allocate vehicles to drivers and ensure efficient utilisation of the fleet.
Monitor job progress and make live planning adjustments to maintain service levels.
Ensure all planned work is covered and running to schedule.
Accurately update internal systems with driver working days, job status, and operational changes.
Use vehicle tracking systems to monitor driver punctuality and job completion.
Communicate clearly with drivers throughout the shift, providing guidance and support.
Notify customers promptly of any impacted or delayed deliveries.
Prepare a comprehensive handover report for the day shift detailing progress, issues, and outstanding actions.
Maintain compliance with transport regulations and company policies.About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience in transport or logistics operations, ideally in a night-based role.
Ability to work independently and make decisions without direct supervision.
Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
Confident and professional communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport/vehicle tracking systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
