Overview
We are seeking a part time Activities Co‑Ordinator to join our care home in the village of Holt, Wrexham. The ideal candidate will provide engaging and fulfilling activities for our residents and will have a passion for working with the elderly and creating meaningful experiences for individuals.
We anticipate 3 × 6 hour shifts per week, worked between Monday and Sunday with alternate weekends off.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a diverse range of activities to cater to the interests and abilities of residents
* Organise outings, events, and in-house activities to promote socialisation and mental stimulation
* Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are tailored to meet the needs of residents, including those with dementia
* Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive environment
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or assisted living facility
* Strong understanding of dementia care principles and experience working with elderly
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with residents of varying abilities
* Creative approach to designing activities that enhance residents' quality of life
* Qualifications in elderly care or related field would be advantageous
