Job Description Job title: Senior Designer – MechanicalLocation: Barrow-in-Furness – This is an on site positionSalary: £36,000+ Depending on skills and experienceWhat you will be doing:You will be directly supporting our World Class Submarines by producing 3D models of either Pipe routes, HVAC systems or mechanical compartment arrangements using the CAD toolsetYour responsibilities will also include producing 2D drawings and electronic data and BoM item development to a fast – paced schedule to support manufacturing, installation, and testing of our productsDevelop and maintain close working relationships with other Design team members and Stakeholders who are working towards the same common goalWorking as a team to produce an Integrated Design that meets our client’s expectations and agreed set of requirementsYour skills and experiences:Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques e.g. AUTOCAD, Foran, Solidworks and Siemens NX etc. in both 2D (Diagrams) and 3D outputs (drawings and models)HNC / ONC level or degree qualification in relevant STEM subject or equivalent work experienceUnderstanding of mechanical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level in either piping or HVAC designExperience in Mechanical Compartment Integration / Room Integration and or Engineering Standards at Component / Equipment levelBenefits:You&rs...
