Responsibilities
* Lead and manage teams effectively under the guidance and supervision of the Capacity Planning Co‑ordinator, ensuring adherence to Trust policy and protocols.
* Oversee day‑to‑day operational management of access and booking targets across the whole patient journey for designated specialties.
* Maintain a focus on customer care standards at all times and represent the Access, Booking and Choice service professionally.
* Support the daily operational management of capacity and booking for Inpatients and Outpatients.
* Work flexibly to support staffing, redeploying staff as needed to meet service demands.
* Implement and follow systems that help staff and service users provide a safe and effective access and booking experience.
* Maintain clear understanding and working knowledge of all current access targets.
* Meet frequently with the Capacity Planning Co‑ordinator to flag capacity and staffing issues.
* Actively seek new ways of working to improve service quality.
* Contribute to meeting local and national targets, including waiting list management, validation, and adherence to RTT timeframes.
* Respond to and act on requests for information when the line manager is absent.
