Health & Safety Advisor – Hightown
Location: Hightown, Hemel Hempstead, England, United Kingdom
Base pay: £35,913 per annum for a 35-hour week.
Responsibilities
* Champion a positive safety culture across all areas of Hightown.
* Support incident investigations and ensure timely follow‑up.
* Lead on DSE provision for all working styles, office, scheme‑based, and hybrid.
* Collaborate with Facilities and L&D teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
* Manage our lone worker system, fleet safety, and PPE/RPE standards.
* Drive engagement through our Safety Champions network, including fire wardens, first aiders, and mental health first aiders.
* Conduct site visits, review RAMS, and ensure our risk assessments are dynamic and effective.
Qualifications
* A NEBOSH General Certificate (or a commitment to undertake and complete this qualification if not already held).
* Previous experience in a health & safety role, whether you are an experienced advisor or a motivated administrator ready to step up.
* A solid understanding of UK HSE legislation and best practice.
* A proactive, collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to make a difference.
