Overview
We have an excellent opportunity for a Vet Surgeon to join a lovely team at a fantastic small animal veterinary practice in the City of Southampton in coastal Hampshire. This is a full-time role with a 4-day week on a rota including 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, with no Sundays and no out-of-hours work. The team is well equipped with up-to-date technologies and orthopaedic equipment on site.
Responsibilities
* Excellent full-time opportunity working 4 days a week with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings on a rota; no Sundays and no OOH.
* Work in a well-established practice that is equipped with modern technologies and on-site orthopaedic equipment.
* Carry a varied and interesting caseload that may suit a veterinary professional with a medical bias or an interest in imaging, cardiology or exotics.
* Consult, perform routine surgical procedures, and be comfortable with occasional sole charge.
* Collaborate with an AVP in small animal surgery and develop an interest in exotics.
* Join a friendly, experienced team with interests and specialisms including an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery, postgraduate certificates in emergency medicine and surgery, and expertise in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
* Generous CPD allowance and funding towards certificates.
* Live and work in the coastal city of Southampton, near the New Forest National Park and the south coast beaches.
Person Requirements (Qualifications)
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
* Registered with the RCVS.
* Good experience in practice.
* Confident to work some occasional sole charge.
