Lancaster University is seeking a motivated and proactive Finance Partner to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, to deliver high-quality financial insight to support effective planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
About the Role
You will:
1. Produce timely and accurate management reports and financial analysis for senior budget holders
2. Assist budget holders in monitoring financial performance and understanding variances
3. Support the preparation of annual budgets and in-year forecasts
4. Contribute to business planning and financial modelling activities
5. Support financial processes and reporting improvements
6. Build effective working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
7. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and deadlines
8. Supervise Finance Analysts and other members of the team.
About You
We are looking for a collaborative and analytical finance professional who can turn financial data into clear insight.
You will be:
9. A fully qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA or equivalent) or passed finalist.
10. Experienced in finance partnering within a complex organisation.
11. Technically strong in financial modelling and forecasting.
12. Confident interpreting and presenting complex financial information.
13. A collaborative team leader committed to continuous improvement.
