Overview
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. This is a store-based role for doers with plenty of variety, offering opportunities for stability, flexibility and progression. You will be part of a specialist, diverse team where everyone is welcome.
* Salary: Tesco Colleague rate starts from £12.45 per hour; £13.66 per hour for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
* Hours: New colleagues joining us are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; there are opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if requested.
* Availability: We will request availability windows and schedule contracted hours with 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. Flexibility is supported if your available times are close to those advertised.

* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; delivering great natural service.
* Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
* Working across service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
* Applying training to work safely, effectively and to serve customers brilliantly.
* Making decisions that meet customer needs and delivering appropriate store routines.
* Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and the role you play in driving service, sales, reducing waste and delivering profit.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
* Representing Tesco values, being inclusive and following store policies.
* Occasionally required to accept deliveries into the store.
