You will be working with pupils aged 4-17 who have a range of complex needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and communication difficulties. You'll be responsible for: Planning and delivering individualised, sensory-rich lessons tailored to EHCP outcomes. Using tools such as PECS, Makaton, and other communication aids. Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure holistic development. Creating a nurturing classroom environment that promotes independence, trust, and enjoyment. Monitoring progress and contributing to review meetings and reports. What You'll Need to Succeed: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN or specialist provision. A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs. Strong resilience, patience, and creativity in the classroom. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit a variety of learning styles. Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
