Brief overview of our site:
Alpha Works is an established award-winning coworking venue within CEG's landmark Alpha building.
Alpha is an iconic Grade II listed 27 storey tower, centrally located amongst one of the largest regeneration zones in Birmingham.
Alpha Works is an exceptional site based on 21st and 22nd floors giving SMEs and start-ups a location that would normally be accessible only to established corporates.
The coworking venue is well known for its personal service, retention of members and integral programme of events and the role offered will play a large part in the continued success and improvement of service across all areas.
The candidate is not necessarily required to have any serviced office management experience, however, hospitality/event/office experience with some commercial understanding is welcomed.
Goals & Objectives
* Work with Community Manager and Community team to maintain standards while identifying improvements beneficial to the site
* Create a warm, engaging and pro-active environment for all Alpha Works members and create a seamless and professional front of house experience for all members, visitors and event attendees
* Identify, manage and perform critical tasks in the following areas:
* Creation of a collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between member
* Ensuring that the site is fully operational, and processes are running smoothly
* Driving growth by promotion of Alpha Works' service offerings
* Promotion of the Alpha Works brand within set standards via communication across all platforms including digital and social media
* Provide a professional meet and greet service welcoming guests, directing and accepting parcels, carrying out day to day admin
Duties & Responsibilities
Site Maintenance
* Pro-actively manage 'front of house' to give a seamless, warm and efficient customer service to all
* Preparation and management of access control for members and spaces and highlighting any potential issues before they arise
* Manage stock levels of all site literature, supplies and consumables placing orders and monitoring day to day usage
* Look at site with fresh eyes daily and objectively identify areas for refurbishment or improvement and action through the specified processes
* Communicate all onsite/ health and safety issues to the Community Manager
* Create and maintain strong relationships with the wider building team to create seamless service i.e. liaise heavily with Ground Floor reception, security, maintenance, Alpha Café
Community Management & Events
* Seek opportunities to engage with members to discover their business objectives and assess any service needs
* Identify opportunities to connect with members to help enhance their professional or personal development
* Work on community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member introductions, curating events, and event follow-ups
* Educate and encourage members to use Alpha Works software platform, educate them to book meeting rooms, pay for services and so on to achieve self-sufficiency for each member
* Assist supervision of on-site events for compliance with H&S and 'house rules'
* Build strong relationships with local businesses, hospitality venues and authorities to develop events and networking opportunities
* Work with the Community team to educate members on community rules, guidelines and best practices
* Explain Alpha Works policies and procedures to members, including but not limited to membership agreement and billing procedures
Marketing & Sales
* Work with the Community Manager and Community team to help manage Alpha Works social media accounts promote and increase brand awareness, media and social interest and generate traffic to the Alpha Works website through specified processes
* Contribute ideas to support in the evolution of wider marketing and community exposure for Alpha Works
* Develop relationships with current and former members to generate business and reduce member turn-over
Experience & Requirements
* Strong customer service experience required and events experience a plus
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills
* Passion and understanding for small businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurial communities, as well as a corporate 'hat'
* Passion and understanding for Alpha Works service offer
* Desire to progress within Alpha Works, property and/or CEG
* Proficient in basic computer skills and able to learn new systems
* Desire to attend networking and out of hours events on occasion
* Ability to provide customised and individual tours of Alpha Works and building amenities for new members
Desirable not essential skills
* Knowledge of the coworking and private office industry
* Sales and relationship management skills to enhance and increase revenue
* Knowledge of social media and brand awareness
* Attending networking events on occasion to promote Alpha Works and identify potential members helping increase revenue for the business
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
