Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs (ALN)? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated and caring ALN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming secondary school in the Treorchy area.
You will be supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more. This is a rewarding, full-time position, running for the full academic year. For the right candidate, there is the possibility of a permanent role.
* Provide tailored academic and emotional support to pupils with ALN
* Support individual students or small groups in lessons across the curriculum
* Assist with learning activities, behaviour support, and social development
* Collaborate closely with the ALN department and wider school staff
* Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt your approach accordingly
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting young people
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (or willing to apply)
* EWC registration (Teaching Personnel can assist with this)
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs, including core subjects (or equivalent)
* A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
