Our client, a leading name in the aerospace sector, is seeking four Contract Lead Engineers with expertise in Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) and Actuation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with top aircraft manufacturers.
Role Overview - Systems Project Engineer
As a Systems Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the full product life cycle—from requirements management to qualification. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Leading system design, development, integration, and verification
2. Planning and managing engineering tasks, reviews, and key milestones
3. Engaging with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with expectations
4. Managing technical risks, engineering changes, and design traceability
5. Driving continuous improvement in engineering processes
What You Need to Succeed
Experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development
Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification)
Strong understanding of the engineering life cycle and systems engineering management
Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS/CRADLE beneficial)
Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions
