The Adult Forensic Service at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity for Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists to contribute to improving patients’ experiences and to the development of a new model of care.
During the development of the new model of care and while definitive medical job planning is under review, post holders are expected to be the Responsible Clinician for 12–16 male inpatients or 10–12 female inpatients, following their caseload from admission to discharge.

Alongside inpatient management, additional clinical activities include on-call work, access assessments to the service, and other activities dependent on negotiation with consultant colleagues and our new model of care.
