HCR Law’s Northampton office is part of one of the UK’s largest Private Client teams. Our Central England office is a hive of activity, with a strong track record in managing high‑net‑worth (HNW) clients and complex case work. The high‑quality work is matched by a calibre of individuals many of whom are recognised in Chambers and have received numerous accolades. We are looking for a Private Client Partner to help lead, grow, and shape our Private Client offering in Northampton and the surrounding counties. This is a rare chance to step into a senior role within a 120‑strong team and be part of something truly ambitious.
Responsibilities
* You will work with an established team of highly skilled Private Client Lawyers, many of whom are recognised as leaders in their field and highly ranked in Chambers and Legal 500. The team was also recognised in the recent Times Lawyer awards.
* The CE team have a fantastic client base including owners of local businesses and landed estates who require intelligent and dynamic lawyers.
* You will have the opportunity to lead or work closely with the current head to help lead the CE practice.
* Assisting in providing strategic direction and leadership to our CE practice.
* Delivering expert advice across a broad spectrum of private client matters: wills, trusts, estate planning, succession planning, probate, LPAs, and more.
* Building and maintaining relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, business families, and landed estates, many of whom have complex and high‑value UK and international portfolios.
* Collaborating with colleagues locally and across our firm’s departments and hubs to deliver truly holistic legal support.
* Mentoring junior team members and creating an environment of continuous professional development and excellence.
* Actively contributing to business development and enhancing our market profile in the region.

About You
* A qualified solicitor with substantial experience in Private Client law
* Experienced in working with HNW/UHNW clients, including those with complex assets or international elements
* Capable of managing teams and developing practice areas
* Commercially savvy and confident in business development
* Collaborative, client‑focused, and ambitious
* Ideally STEP qualified or holding membership in relevant professional bodies
