The Compliance Lead (Client) ensures all contractual and statutory compliance requirements are delivered to the highest standard across assigned client portfolios. The role provides assurance through effective monitoring, analysis and reporting of compliance data, while driving collaboration across operational teams to enhance service delivery and governance. It is a key link between internal operations, technical functions and client stakeholders — ensuring accuracy, transparency and continual improvement in compliance performance.

The Compliance Lead (Client) is responsible for ensuring all client-facing compliance obligations are delivered accurately, consistently and in line with statutory and contractual requirements. Working closely with Account Managers, Operations Directors and the Group Compliance function, this role provides assurance that all compliance activities are completed, evidenced and reported effectively.
The role acts as the bridge between operational delivery and client assurance — analysing performance data, validating certification, supporting remediation and driving continuous improvement. The Compliance Lead is pivotal in maintaining compliance visibility, accuracy and governance across assigned client portfolios, while supporting the performance and coordination of the compliance team.
Compliance Oversight
* Lead the end-to-end management of compliance performance for assigned client contracts.
* Monitor overdue and unassigned PPMs, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution.
* Verify that all statutory and non‑statutory work is completed on time, to standard and evidenced correctly.
* Conduct regular client audit tracker reviews to ensure all compliance actions, certifications and remedials are monitored through to closure.
* Review failed orders in collaboration with the IAC office, ensuring prompt corrective action and accurate status updates.
* Manage the upload of certificates to client portals, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete and within SLA timeframes.
* Report on engineering issues and technical non‑compliance, working with the Technical Compliance Lead and Account Managers to ensure resolution.
* Ensure remedial actions are identified, assigned and tracked through to completion.
* Provide assurance to the Group Compliance Director and Account Directors that all client accounts meet regulatory and audit standards.
Client Reporting and Governance
* Act as the lead point of contact for client compliance meetings and governance reviews.
* Produce accurate and timely compliance reports, dashboards and commentary for internal and client stakeholders.
* Review and present compliance performance data, including risk summaries and improvement plans, to Account Managers and clients.
* Support KPI mitigations, ensuring clear evidence and narrative are maintained for underperforming areas.
* Coordinate with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure consistency in performance reporting and commentary.
Systems and Data Assurance
* Oversee data quality and accuracy within the CAFM system (e.g., Concerto) for all client compliance activities.
* Validate certification uploads and ensure full traceability from job creation to closure.
* Produce regular compliance dashboards, reports and trend analyses for internal stakeholders.
* Support Account Managers in using system tools effectively to manage compliance workflows.
* Work with IT and Compliance teams to resolve system issues and align reporting outputs.
Process, Contract and Service Review
* Work closely with Account Managers to review and improve contract performance.
* Conduct contract reviews with Account Managers to ensure all services bid for are being delivered and evidenced — a new process to be implemented moving forward.
* Support PPM optimisations, including the realignment of schedules (e.g., LFB) to ensure efficiency and compliance alignment.
* Contribute to costing for new PPM services and assist in developing supporting documentation for LFB and similar contracts.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process efficiency and compliance improvement within contract delivery.
Contractor and Supply Chain Assurance
* Support the assurance of external contractor performance through desktop audits and certification reviews.
* Engage with subcontractors to review reports, ensuring attendance within SLA requirements and communicate the importance of compliance standards.
* Verify contractor competency (e.g., Gas Safe, NICEIC, F‑Gas, Fire Safety qualifications).
* Ensure certification evidence meets contractual and legislative standards before approval.
* Collaborate with Procurement and Operations teams to maintain a compliant and auditable supply chain.
Team Leadership and Daily Management
* Provide day‑to‑day management of the compliance team, ensuring clarity of objectives, workload balance and accountability.
* Address and resolve escalations from the team efficiently, providing guidance and support where needed.
* Promote a proactive, solutions‑driven culture within the compliance function.
* Oversee the quality and timeliness of outputs from the team, ensuring alignment with client expectations and internal standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build effective working relationships with Account Managers, Operations Directors, Engineers and the wider Compliance Team.
* Foster strong engagement with all internal departments to ensure end‑to‑end compliance delivery.
* Collaborate with the Technical Compliance Lead, IT, Finance and Operations to align data accuracy, reporting and governance.
* Support internal audits and external regulatory inspections as required.
* Provide coaching, guidance and training to operational teams on compliance expectations and reporting accuracy.
What does it take?

Essential
* 3–5 years’ experience in compliance, technical services, or facilities management.
* Strong understanding of statutory maintenance requirements (e.g., Electrical, Gas, Fire Safety, Water Hygiene).
* Demonstrable experience managing compliance data within CAFM systems (e.g., Concerto, WFM, Job Logic).
* Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on data integrity and audit evidence.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Desirable
* Experience in a client or contract compliance role within FM or engineering.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks.
* Process improvement or audit training (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification.

Working arrangements
