Customer Assistant - Food - Ashtead Simply Food
We are hiring for a Customer Assistant in the Foods section. You will be a champion of our high-quality products, great value offers, and excellent customer service. We are seeking passionate individuals who take pride in knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with customers.
The role requires working early mornings. Applications from anyone under the age of 18 cannot be considered to comply with health and safety legislation.
Role location: Ashtead Simply Food, Ashtead, England, United Kingdom.
Employment type: Part-time (minimum requirement details below).
Work pattern
The following schedule outlines the standard pattern observed in Week 1 and Week 2. Shifts commonly include early morning starts and varied days:
* Week 1: Monday 05:30 – 13:30; Wednesday 05:30 – 13:30; Friday 05:30 – 13:30; Saturday 05:30 – 13:30
* Week 2: Sunday 10:30 – 18:30; Tuesday 05:30 – 13:30; Wednesday 14:30 – 22:30; Friday 14:30 – 22:30

Responsibilities
* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points
* Keep the store clean and tidy; ensure shelves are stocked
* Monitor and respond to daily sales targets, promotions, and selling opportunities
* Proactively engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide remarkable service
* Build expert product knowledge to recommend our products and services
* Utilise digital tools and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience
