Flame Health Optical Division is delighted to be supporting a well-respected independent practice in their search for a personable and experienced Optical Assistant in the Dudley area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment, providing tailored advice and ensuring every visitor has a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Offering a friendly welcome and assisting patients throughout their visit
* Coordinating appointment bookings and preparing clinics for smooth operation
* Helping patients choose the right frames and lens options to suit their needs, lifestyle, and budget
* Managing orders, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records
* Carrying out fittings, collections, repairs, and adjustments
* Supporting the team with general practice upkeep and organisation
What We’re Looking For
* Previous optical experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
* Knowledge of lens types, coatings, and frame styling to give confident, clear advice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and professional manner
* A reliable and organised team player who thrives in a busy, varied role
* Basic IT skills are helpful, but full training can be provided
* A full driving licence is an advantage
