Over a jam-packed two‑year period you will complete an "Individual Record of Clinical Practice" portfolio and obtain a Postgraduate Certificate in Neurophysiology from Aston University. You will gain hands‑on experience performing routine, sleep and portable EEGs, assist in nerve conduction and EMG clinics, and work directly with patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed while using diagnostic equipment to obtain high‑quality data.
Responsibilities
 * Perform routine, sleep, ambulatory and portable EEG recordings for adults and paediatrics in ICU and neonatal units.
 * Conduct MSLTs, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies and intra‑operative monitoring in theatres.
 * Interpret test results, prepare factual reports and ensure all investigations comply with departmental standards.
 * Lead and support training, audit, research, and continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
 * Collaborate daily with multidisciplinary team members to meet service needs and deliver excellent patient care.
 * Participate in progress meetings, set learning objectives and pursue further academic training modules as required by the educational supervisor.
Qualifications
 * Science degree or equivalent (health or life sciences background).
 * Postgraduate certificate or equivalent in Neurophysiology, or willingness to obtain it during the role.
 * Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and adaptable, with an ability to work under pressure and multitask while maintaining high standards of patient care.
 * Team‑player mindset with a commitment to putting 100% effort into reaching full potential.
 * Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and data‑analysis software.
