Job Description
Core Aspects of the Warehouse Operations Manager role will include:* End-to-End Supply Chain Management - Oversee the full supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, and demand planning to meet business needs.* Optimise Logistics Operations - Manage warehouse, transport, and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.* Supplier & Vendor Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and key stakeholders to drive performance and cost efficiency's.* Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and improve inventory forecasting to avoid shortages or overstocking.* Customer Order Fulfilment - Oversee sales order processing, ensuring on-time and in-full (OTIF) deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.* Data-Driven Performance Management - Monitor and analyse supply chain KPIs, such as lead times, cost per unit, and supplier performance, to drive continuous improvement.* Warehouse & Facility Oversight - Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal layout, stock movement, and safety compliance.* Process Improvement & Cost Reduction - Identify opportunities to streamline processes, negotiate better supplier terms, and reduce operational costs without compromising service quality.* Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with production, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.* Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations, mitigating risks across the supply chain.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Warehouse Manager should have:
3. Proven experience in warehouse management
4. Proficiency in warehouse software packages and MS Office
5. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
6. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage 30 employees
7. Strong decision-making skills and a hands-on approach to work
8. An understanding of health and safety regulations
9. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
10. Commutable daily to Yeovil 5 days per weel
