Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM
Salary: Up to £48,600 OTE (including £34,000 to £42,000 basic plus bonus)
Lookers Crewe BMW are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services and carrying out any additional repairs.
Here at Crewe BMW, you will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will give on-going support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. Our Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. Responsibilities
1. Supporting and provide guidance for all Technicians and Apprentices within the workshopCarrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using (Brand specific diagnostic machine) to manufacturers guidelinesAssisting the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnosis, using computer-based technologyLiaising with the manufacturers’ technical team when guidance is requiredAdvising the customer/ manufacturer of any further work requiredRoad testing vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to the Lookers standard
Qualifications/ Experience
The ideal candidate to be considered for this role will need to be an Accredited Diagnostic or Senior Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, has motor industry Franchised Dealer experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and diligent in your approach, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
