M&E Design Manager (Building Services) Cambridgeshire
£65,000 to £85,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected building services contractor based in Cambridgeshire, north of Huntingdon, recognised for delivering high-quality M&E projects across healthcare, education, commercial, and cutting-edge data centre sectors. With typical project values ranging from £1m up to £10m, and a history built on trust, technical excellence, and long-term client partnerships, they provide an environment where employees can thrive, innovate, and build rewarding careers.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced M&E Design Engineer / M&E Design Manager to join their team. This is a pivotal role, working closely with clients, consultants, and project teams from concept through to delivery, ensuring technical compliance and coordination of all design aspects.
Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee M&E design from feasibility to completion.
* Coordinate and review consultant and subcontractor designs.
* Provide technical input at tendering and pre-construction stages.
* Support project teams in resolving design challenges and ensuring compliance with regulations and client specifications.
Skills & Requirements
* Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Combined Building Services design.
* Knowledge of M&E systems integration and relevant regulations.
* Familiarity with BIM / digital engineering tools (desirable).
* Excellent communication skills with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
* Experience as a Design Manager or Senior M&E Design Engineer.
* Also open to applications from experienced M&E Design Engineers ready to step up.
Remuneration Package - M&E Design Manager
Base Salary: £65,000 to £85,000
