Currently seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our client's dynamic team and drive growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development: Identify, prospect, and secure new clients in line with company growth goals, focusing on both commercial and residential sectors.
2. Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
3. Market Research: Conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify industry trends and opportunities for expansion.
4. Proposal Development: Prepare tailored proposals and quotes for potential clients, addressing their specific waste management needs.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the operational team to ensure client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
6. Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies to meet company targets.
7. Networking: Represent the company at industry events and build a strong network of contacts.
8. Reporting: Track sales performance and provide regular updates to management on progress toward targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in business development or sales, within the industrial sector.
2. Strong understanding of industrial processes, including transportation, recycling, and disposal.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
4. A results-driven approach with a focus on achieving sales targets and contributing to company growth.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
6. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
7. Full UK driving license (company car provided).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
1. Experience in the environmental or sustainability sectors would be advantageous.
2. Experience within a sales environment.
3. Experience using CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipeline.
