The Role

We are currently looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join Alison and the team at our Guildford store.
What you will be doing
The Assistant Manager plays a key role in the store's leadership, focusing on exceeding sales targets, achieving KPI goals, providing excellent customer service, and driving operational metrics. You will lead and support the sales team to identify and surpass sales opportunities, coach high performance, and build lasting customer relationships. Managing customer appointments, including corporate clients and wedding parties, and handling customer feedback alongside the Store Manager are also essential responsibilities.
Strong selling skills and product knowledge are vital for delivering high-level customer service. You will train the team on CT’s service and selling standards and encourage the use of all available training tools, such as commercial reports, VM directives, and courses on the Tyrwhitt Academy. Promoting a positive store culture and ensuring a professional, enjoyable atmosphere for both staff and customers are also key aspects of the role.
Additionally, you will support the Store Manager with data analysis, operational and stock management, controlling costs, staff recruitment and retention, colleague engagement, HR, Health and Safety, and compliance.

* Previous retail management experience

* Coaching and leadership skills
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Experience in stock management and loss prevention
* Good understanding of systems and Microsoft Office
* Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
