Role Overview
As a Senior Consultant (Sustainability), you will be part of a pod that delivers high-quality
sustainability strategy and disclosure advice to our customers. You will take ownership of
complex projects, support and mentor junior team members, and help shape outputs that
influence and inspire positive environmental and social change.
You will have a strong foundation in carbon footprinting, disclosure schemes, and Net Zero
strategy development, and will be confident communicating with senior stakeholders and
managing multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver high-quality sustainability strategy and disclosure work for a range of
customers, ensuring outputs meet and exceed expectations.
* Develop sustainability strategies covering scopes 1, 2 and 3 that help customers
understand risks, identify opportunities, and maximise their environmental and social
impact.
* Manage and deliver statutory and voluntary disclosure projects such as SBTi, CSRD/IFRS,
CDP, TCFD, ESG regulatory awareness and B Corp, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and
strategic alignment.
* Present outputs and recommendations to customers in a clear, engaging, and actioninspiring way, including to senior stakeholders.
* Use data to tell a compelling sustainability story and influence decision-making.
* Identify opportunities to deepen our impact with existing customers and contribute to
account planning and customer development.
* Contribute to supply chain engagement projects, ESG assessments, and climate-related
risk and opportunity reviews, including double materiality assessments and physical
climate risk assessments.
* Mentor and support junior team members through peer review, feedback, and technical
guidance.
* Maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and helping
customers progress confidently on their Net Zero journey.
* Share insights and best practices with the wider team, contributing to service
development and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent experience in a carbon, environmental, or sustainability-related
field.
* Proven experience delivering sustainability strategy and disclosure projects.
* Strong working knowledge of GHG Protocol scopes 1, 2 and 3.
* Strong data interpretation skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively
using data-driven insights.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation skills
and workshop delivery.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver high quality work on time.
Desirable Attributes
* Experience delivering or reviewing CDP, TCFD, SBTi, EcoVadis or other disclosure
projects.
* Understanding and experience in applying carbon reduction pathways, including UK
Carbon Budgets and customer bespoke actions, to support businesses understanding
and implementation of their Net Zero Journey.
* Understanding of ESG frameworks and supply chain engagement.
* Experience conducting climate-related risk and opportunity assessments.
* An interest in or experience with social sustainability topics.
