Job Overview

Are you a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager ready to take charge of complex projects and deliver outstanding results?

As a Senior Project Manager in our Major Projects team, you will lead the end-to-end management of large-scale initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll have the opportunity to influence key projects within a rapidly evolving environment, utilising your strong leadership, commercial expertise, and technical knowledge to drive success.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role where you can reduce reliance on consultants and help drive operational efficiency. You’ll join a forward-thinking team and contribute to major projects that make a real impact with a project value of up to £150 million.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Deliver key projects within the set scope, cost, and timeframe, exceeding customer expectations.
2. Plan and oversee project portfolios, identifying dependencies and ensuring smooth execution.
3. Take full ownership of project risks and issues, ensuring effective mitigation strategies.
4. Maintain tight control over project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
5. Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment to project goals and deadlines.
6. Balance quality deliverables with time and cost constraints, maintaining high standards throughout.
7. Contribute to a high-performing team culture, driving collaboration and continuous improvement.
8. Manage and provide line management support for Project Managers, fostering their development and ensuring alignment with organisational goals.

About You

Strong experience in managing high-value projects
Expertise in managing the project lifecycle and delivering change through NEC contracts.
Skilled negotiator with robust financial and contract management experience.
Proven ability to manage risks, compliance, and multiple delivery teams across various stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail, strong business case writing abilities, and results-driven focus.
Resilient under pressure with a ‘can do’ attitude and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of building and managing successful teams in a demanding environment

Package

This role will be full-time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.
