Your Responsibilities
* Maintain the hangar, workshops, and all working areas in a clean, tidy, and organized manner.
* Ensure that all maintenance and workshop requests are carried out on time and to approved standards, efficiently and with minimal downtime to maximize aircraft availability.
* Maintain good relationships and communication with all VAM managers and employees.
* Ensure daily work planning, technical progress, optimal capacity, and man-hour utilization.
* Provide daily and other regular technical and production data.
* Direct, instruct, motivate, control, and support all team members.
* Keep staff current through necessary training and examinations in accordance with the company’s interests and legal obligations.
* Ensure human and material resources meet the company’s commercial and legal needs.
* Coordinate smoothly with other departments within VAM and external partners.
* Initiate training requests, procurements, investments, procedures, and company structure changes.
* Oversee maintenance and other company projects directly and indirectly.
* Act as Deputy of the Director of Maintenance (DoM) when needed.
* Participate in audits, rectifications, and investigations.
* Perform any other reasonable requests from management in line with the Base Maintenance Manager role.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
* Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial or business aviation aircraft maintenance.
* Minimum 3 years of management experience in the commercial or business aircraft maintenance industry.
* ATA 104 Level I course on one commercial or business aircraft type.
* Knowledge of EASA Regulations.
* UK residency and readiness to reside in the UK.
* Clean criminal record.
* EASA B1 License on one commercial or business aircraft type.
