Overview
Flexibility - As a Relief worker you will not be obliged to commit to work a set number of hours a week. You can work flexibly to suit you, selecting your own shifts from the shifts available. New Opportunities - These positions are ideal for individuals with other commitments or someone who wants to try something new. It gives you the chance to feel you are making a difference on a daily basis. Your manager will offer shifts in your preferred location with as much notice as possible but you might be contacted on an ad-hoc basis when shift cover is needed. As such, the hours may not be guaranteed. Development/Progression - You will be required to attend training courses and actively participate. Bespoke and blended learning opportunities will be available, but these sessions take place weekdays either online or at our main offices. Lone working may also apply in some of our services, but we provide all training required to successfully deliver the role and you will have access to a bespoke learning pathway with the support of an experienced Learning & Development team. You will be paid your hourly rate when undergoing training. Before starting in the Relief role, you will be expected to complete all training - Induction, eLearning & Classroom Sessions. Once done, you will undertake two shadow shifts. Once completed, you will have access to book & arrange your own shifts.
Scheme/Services you will be covering in the Swansea, Neath and Bridgend area include Cam Nesaf and Swansea Young Persons, providing housing support and guidance to young people aged 16-24 to develop independent living skills and move towards independent accommodation. The Kerrigan Project provides support and accommodation for nine people with complex needs including substance misuse, offending and mental ill-health.
Role Details
Hourly Rate: 12.75 per hour
Responsibilities
* Supporting the client as directed by the team according to the support plan specifically tailored to each client.
* Wellbeing checks.
* Ensuring the building is secure including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building.
* Reception duties.
* Dealing with challenging behaviours and responding to arising needs.

* Llys Awen - 24-hour temporary supported accommodation in the Gorseinon area of Swansea for young people aged 16 to 21, enabling them to achieve goals and lead independent lives within a Psychologically Informed Environment.
* Clarewood - provides 8 spacious, self-contained flats for young people aged 16-25, helping those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to gain independence.
