Graduate Teaching Assistant - Aspiring Teachers & Educational Psychologists

Premier Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Oldham seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately until Easter. This role is ideal for graduates who want to develop experience working with children, particularly those interested in educational psychology, SEND support, or primary teaching.
You will play a key role supporting pupils across the classroom, working closely with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful school-based experience that will strengthen applications for teacher training, psychology postgraduate courses, or educational psychology pathways.
About the role:
* Supporting pupils across the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assisting the class teacher with engaging learning activities and interventions
* Supporting pupils with additional learning needs or social and emotional development
* Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to promote pupil progress
* Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate
Candidate requirements:
* A degree (Psychology, Education, or related subject preferred)
* A genuine interest in working with children and pursuing a career in education or educational psychology
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
* Experience working with children (school, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or similar) is desirable but not essential
* Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
Pay:
£450.00 - £525.00 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)
