Job Summary
The Registered Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a care home, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment. This position requires a compassionate leader with experience in senior care, particularly in assisted living and residential home settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, developing care plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a nurturing atmosphere for residents.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, tailored to their specific needs including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Supervise and manage staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
* Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
* Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to promote collaborative care.
* Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in senior care, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
* Foster a positive environment that encourages resident engagement and social interaction.
Skills
* Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings.
* Strong background in nursing or senior care management with a focus on dementia and Alzheimer's care.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team effectively.
* Proficient in developing comprehensive care plans that address individual resident needs.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
* Knowledge of medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance within the care sector.
