Food Technology Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS/UPS; £32,916 - £51,048 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education are seeking to appoint a dedicated and knowledgeable Food Technology Teacher to work at a Client Secondary School located in York, North Yorkshire, starting as soon as possible.
Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, imaginative lessons in Food Technology, aligned with curriculum standards.
* Inspire students with practical, hands-on experiences and a focus on nutrition, health, and food preparation skills.
* Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work, and assessment practices within the department.
* Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
* Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating learning environment in the food technology space.
Food Technology Teacher Requirements:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
* A specialism in Food Technology, or a closely related subject.
* Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for promoting health, nutrition, and food preparation.
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one with GSL Education.
