An exciting opportunity has arisen for a locum consultant radiologist with an interest in Nuclear Medicine to join Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospital Trust.
We seek an enthusiastic consultant to join our dedicated radiology team serving a population of 750,000.
The role covers General Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a dynamic radiologist with training and experience in Nuclear Medicine to support our expanding services. The role is for 12 months, with 10PA’s, covering diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and outpatient therapeutic procedures, excluding general radiology.
The primary location is Queens’s Hospital, Romford, with some sessions at King George Hospital, Ilford.
The successful candidate will support the Clinical Lead and help implement hybrid imaging. Opportunities to develop expertise and participate in MDTs are available.
Induction will be provided.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post is mainly based at Queen’s/King George Hospital, Romford, with possible work at Barking and St. George’s CDCs.
Responsibilities include sharing office space, covering diagnostic Nuclear Medicine, performing thyroid ultrasounds, reporting on MRI and CT scans, contributing to MDTs and department meetings, sharing on-call duties, and having remote access to images.

Education / Qualification
* Fellowship Royal College of Radiologists
* Full GMC registration with license to practice
* Subspecialty fellowship in Nuclear Medicine or relevant experience for at least 2 years
* MSc in Nuclear Medicine
* Eligible for ARSAC license
* Logbook
