Rutherford is partnered with a leading global law firm renowned for its strength across M&A and private equity transactions. The firm is seeking a Corporate Lawyer (1 – 6PQE) to join its London office, advising on complex, high-value, and often cross-border transactions across key industries including technology, healthcare, and life sciences.
You’ll work as part of a world-class corporate team trusted by major corporates, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors to deliver on headline-making deals and sophisticated cross-border mandates.
Key responsibilities
* Advise on public and private M&A transactions, including take-privates, carve-outs, and joint ventures.
* Act for private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on investments, exits, and strategic corporate activity.
* Support multinational clients across regulated and fast-moving sectors such as tech, life sciences, and healthcare.
* Work closely with cross-border teams on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions, ensuring cohesive client service and strategic execution.
* Assist with corporate governance, shareholder relations, and transaction structuring for major international clients.
* Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, finance, tax, and regulatory practices to provide seamless, full-service advice.
What you’ll bring
* Strong transactional experience in M&A and/or private equity, ideally within an international or top-tier UK practice.
* Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
* The ability to work confidently on cross-border, high-value transactions within fast-paced environments.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex legal frameworks into practical business advice.
* A collaborative mindset and appetite for working as part of a high-performing, international team.
