Sales & Hire Executive Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE Location: Office-based – Stratford-upon-Avon Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sales & Hire Executive to join their growing team at their Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, self-motivated individual with a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced environment. This is a 100% office-based role focused on high-volume, transactional sales activity rather than field-based business development. You’ll be handling inbound enquiries, preparing accurate quotations, following up to secure orders, and proactively contacting existing customers and new prospects. Success will be measured by speed of response, quote accuracy, conversion rates, and disciplined use of systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, particularly around product selection, stock availability, delivery planning, hire coordination, and logistics scheduling. You’ll need to be highly organised, computer-literate, and comfortable working under pressure in a busy environment. Key Responsibilities * Respond promptly to inbound telephone and email enquiries * Prepare, send, and follow up on accurate hire and sales quotations * Proactively chase quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed orders * Make outbound calls to existing customers and new prospects to generate business * Support business development projects in line with monthly sales plans * Accurately process orders, hire contracts, and customer records using Sage and CRM systems * Maintain clean, up-to-date customer data and activity notes in the CRM * Coordinate with internal teams including office, yard, transport, and operations * Assist with simple marketing activities such as email campaigns and lead follow-up * Provide holiday and absence cover across sales and operations, including general sales administration and order processing * Liaising with yard and logistics teams * Raising invoices and processing delivery paperwork * Handling incoming orders and customer enquiries What We’re Looking For * Proven experience in Internal Sales, Hire Desk, Trade Counter, or office-based B2B sales (essential) * Experience within construction, plant hire, or a product-based environment (advantageous) * Confident telephone manner and ability to manage high call volumes * Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy * Strong computer literacy and ability to multitask across multiple systems * Self-motivated, commercially minded, and results-driven * Comfortable working in a busy, pressurised, transactional environment * Proactive, flexible, and willing to support wider office operations * Proficiency in HubSpot (or similar), Outlook, Excel, and Sage (desirable)
