Intervention Teaching Assistant – Targeted Literacy and Numeracy (KS2/KS3) – Cornwall
A rural secondary academy serving the Bodmin Moor area of Cornwall is seeking an academically strong Intervention Teaching Assistant to focus exclusively on raising attainment in core subjects.
* Intervention Teaching Assistant required.
* Fixed-term contract initially (until July 2026), with potential for renewal.
* Focus entirely on running small-group intervention sessions for Maths and English (KS2/KS3 level content).
* Ideal for a graduate considering teaching or a specialist subject enthusiast.
This role does not involve general classroom TA duties but is dedicated to small group and one-to-one booster sessions outside the main classroom, using pre-prepared materials. Success is measured by the progress made by the targeted students.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Strong academic background (Degree or A-Level equivalent) in English or Maths.
* Experience tutoring or running small-group academic interventions.
* Excellent ability to motivate and break down complex concepts into simple steps.
