Join our professional and friendly Finance team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth and reliable payroll operations for the entire organisation. This position offers the opportunity to combine your technical payroll expertise with strong relationship management skills, supporting colleagues across the business while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely payroll and pension administration, maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. You’ll manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensure correct and compliant pension reporting, and act as a key point of contact for payroll queries providing prompt, helpful, and professional support. Key responsibilities include: Managing the full monthly payroll cycle to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Completing monthly and annual pension reporting and ensuring timely payments to pension providers. Maintaining strong working relationships with the payroll bureau, pension, and benefit partners. Preparing and posting payroll journals, ensuring payroll costs are accurately recorded in the accounts. Reconciling payroll outputs against control documents to uphold financial integrity. Responding promptly to employee and manager payroll queries with clarity and care. A bit about you You’re known for your accuracy, organisation, and commitment to great service. With experience managing payroll and pensions, ideally through a payroll bureau you’re comfortable handling high volumes of transactions and queries while keeping calm under pressure. Your strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and clear communication make you a trusted point of contact for colleagues across our venues and central departments. You’re confident using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word) and thrive in a role where deadlines are tight, teamwork is essential, and customer focus is at the heart of everything you do.
