Purpose of the role:
In this role, you will ensure full compliance with all product and process specifications while actively supporting the manufacturing team to maintain adherence to relevant product requirements and the quality management system. You will participate in the resolution of quality issues by analysing non‑conformances, reporting findings to quality engineers and production team leaders, and contributing to corrective and preventative actions. A key part of the position involves monitoring and reporting on process stability and capability through the analysis of production data, as well as performing both process and system audits to verify ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
You will also play a vital role in promoting a strong Quality culture and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to introduce new systems and processes aligned with broader quality and business strategies. Additionally, you will assist in KPI reporting for Quality and other business functions and contribute to the development of metrology equipment and measurement techniques to enhance QC laboratory efficiency.
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
* Qualified to HNC standard or experience in engineering, manufacturing or quality.
* Fully conversant with quality principles (including but not limited to SPC, Gauge R&R, sampling plans)
* Familiar with range of measuring and inspection equipment (CMM, Surface roughness measurement, Vernier, etc) and can interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Excellent computer skills (including but not limited to Windows, Office)
* Good working knowledge of ISO9001 or IATF 16949
* Work accurately with attention to detail, set an example of and promote Quality Culture through the business
* Experience in shop floor and/or Quality Laboratory environment
* Work independently and proactively
