Mott MacDonald Bentley (a joint venture with JN Bentley) is looking for an Electrical Engineer to deliver projects within the UK water market. This position is open to internal applicants.
Responsibilities
* Prepare electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA.
* Apply all relevant design standards and legislation, including Client and WIMES standards.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure designs are completed to brief on programme and within budget.
* Produce technical specification and schedules for procurement activities, review supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
* Produce the URS for control systems, review supplier FDS and attend factory acceptance tests.
* Review and understand existing installed systems for interface, via site visits, drawings and reports.
* Engage positively with clients, manage relationships, and support them to achieve their aims.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Working towards IEng/CEng with a relevant engineering institution.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* Methodical approach to problem solving.
* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within operational region.
