Essential Functions
1. Financial Management: Oversee financial aspects of several large projects and key customers.
2. Revenue Recognition: Manage monthly revenue recognition for all projects, including functional views.
3. Reporting and Analysis: Provide accurate and timely reports on revenue, backlog, unbilled/unearned balances, and other key project finance metrics.
4. Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with Sarbanes-Oxley controls and other audit requirements.
5. Support and Guidance: Offer support to project management, contracts & proposals teams, credit control, and other internal customers.
6. Project Setup and Maintenance: Handle setup and maintenance of new and existing projects in the PeopleSoft environment.
7. Billing and AR Issues: Review and follow up on billing and accounts receivable issues to accelerate invoicing and cash collection.
8. Local Support: Support the local UK PFM finance group.
9. Ad-hoc Requests: Address other ad-hoc requests and reports as needed.
Required Qualifications
10. Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, or
Bachelor's Degree
11. Experience:
1 - 2 years of experience in a finance-related role, or
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
12. Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Project (preferred) or other financial software
Strong technical accounting skills
Data analysis and manipulation skills
Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients
The candidate should be within a commutable distance to Reading. However, we are open to considering applications from candidates with a valid work permit from anywhere in the UK.
