Who we are:
United Wholesale Grocers Limited have 3 have branches, 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England. We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers, Wines, Spirits, Soft Drinks, Confectionary, Crisps and Snacks, Household and Grocery.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities:
· Multidrop delivery of customers’ orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion
· Loading your lorry according to your daily route while following all CPC regulations
· Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery
· Taking responsibility for the zone and lorry that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
· Supporting other departments as required
Qualities we look for:
* You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.
* Confident using tail lifts
* You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service
* Candidates must be CPC qualified and must not have more than 6 points on their license to be considered for the role.
* Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
* Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet target
