The Original Manor House Hotel on Dartmoor nestled in a secluded valley beneath the wild tors of Dartmoor National Park, Lewtrenchard Manor is a grand Jacobean manor is currently being refurbished to reopen towards the end of May 2025.
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our team Ito take the responcibility for food and beverage. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards.
Duties
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations.
* Supervise and lead F&B staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the property
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety practices.
* Train new staff members on procedures, equipment usage, and service standards.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and special offerings that align with customer preferences.
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent knowledge of food & Beverage operations.
* Excellent knowledge of reception operations.
* Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff and guests.
* A passion for hospitality and commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
