New Role In - Storesperson Location: Altens Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 2pm or 8am - 3pm Contract: Full-Time & Permanent Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Stores Person to support day-to-day business operations. This is a varied and hands-on role that works closely with both the Operations and QHSE teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock, maintaining safety-critical equipment, and supporting general operational duties to help ensure the smooth running of the business. Job Description/Duties: Maintain organised stock of PPE, consumables, and safety equipment for daily operations Order supplies from approved vendors, ensuring best value Receive, check, and log incoming deliveries; report any missing or damaged items Issue materials and PPE, tracking allocation to personnel, vehicles, or departments Monitor stock levels and keep electronic records up to date Maintain clean and compliant storage of certified safety equipment Assist with boiler suit collections/returns and general support duties Work closely with Operations and QHSE teams to ensure smooth daily workflow Requirements: Experience in a similar stores or logistics-based role preferred Familiarity with stock control systems and basic IT skills (Excel, databases) Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of PPE, safety equipment, and calibration procedures beneficial Full UK driving licence desirable Salary: £30K per annum For more information please contact Sammie Smith - sammiesmith@major-recruitment.com 01224 454 070 INDFS
