As a Senior Care Worker at CrossReach, you’ll lead with compassion and support with confidence. You’ll guide a team of Care Workers, mentor new colleagues and help to create an environment where everyone feels respected, valued and supported. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside your team to deliver thoughtful, high-quality care that helps each person live with dignity and comfort.

About You
You’re an experienced carer who leads by example and supports others to do their best work. You hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have a calm, respectful approach. You communicate clearly, listen well and build trust with residents, families and colleagues. Most importantly, you care deeply about people and bring patience, understanding and professionalism to everything you do.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead and support a team of Care Workers
2. Mentor and encourage new staff
3. Deliver personal and emotional care to a high standard
4. Administer medication and maintain accurate care records
5. Provide reassurance and guidance to residents and families

Registration and Checks
You’ll need to be registered with the SSSC and be part of the PVG scheme. If you’re not registered yet, we’ll support you through the process.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. 

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
