Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
* Assist in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant or establishment, ensuring efficiency and quality service.
* Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock.
* Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Support the Manager in implementing strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
* Participate in staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or restaurant sector is essential.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food production techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
* Experience in serving customers effectively, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
* Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable; barista experience is an advantage.
