We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Assistant who wants more than just a job — someone who values teamwork, work/life balance, and the opportunity to genuinely improve people’s lives. You’ll be supporting residents with their day-to-day needs, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing while being part of a caring and supportive team. In this role, you’ll assist residents with personal care, daily routines, and social activities, helping to create a comfortable and positive environment where individuals feel safe, respected, and valued. This is a 39.38-hour contract at £13.50 per hour, working night shifts from 19:45–08:00 on a 2-week rolling rota that includes every other weekend: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday You’ll benefit from a consistent schedule, a strong team around you, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with residents while making a real impact every day. Our interview process is simple and friendly — a single visit with an informal interview, giving you the chance to meet the team and see if the role is right for you. About kings Hill Kings Hill Care Home is a brand-new, purpose-built care facility set in one of Kent’s most thoughtfully designed modern villages. Opening in July 2026, the home has been created from the ground up to support 78 residents with a wide range of needs, including residential, dementia, nursing and respite care. Every aspect of the home reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional standards of safety, comfort and personalised support, enhanced by innovative technology and thoughtfully designed spaces. Situated in the heart of Kings Hill—a thriving community known for its green spaces, safe walkways and strong neighbourhood spirit—the home will be woven into village life. Light, bright and welcoming, the building has been designed to maximise natural light and views of the beautifully landscaped gardens, with spacious balconies providing calm outdoor areas for residents to enjoy. Potential start date is 7th July 2026 Role Responsibilities: To deliver “hands on” care to residents in a person centred way. Support residents to enjoya good qualityof life. Model best practice when delivering care. Assistresidents in all aspects of their physical,emotionaland spiritual care needsin line with agreed care plans. Contribute to the daily records of residents. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake tasks delegated to youefficientlyand effectively. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holderis responsible foror comes into contact with. Skills and experience required: Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable Care certificate of equivalent or a willingness to achieve this in the first 12 months of employment Evidence ofgood carepractice knowledge relating to the care of older people Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
